Laura Sofía Pérez and Ivanhoe present an evening of self exploration through music, art, fruit, and spoken word. This one promises to have something for everyone... Ivanhoe will be leading an All-Star lineup of musicians debuting original music. L.S.P. has prepared some tripped out, spaced out, tuned in videos and a gallery space premiering new material. DJ Mike Dee will be hosting the late set, keeping the groove going through the night.

We will also be taking advantage of this occasion to bid farewell to some beloved city slickers who will soon be departing for greener pastures, including Javi Santiago, Tamara Davidson, and yours truly, Ivanhoe.

An assortment of goodies will be available for purchase and donation. All proceeds will go towards Javi Santiago's Indiegogo campaign.

Space is the Place

This is going on soon. I hope all the cats in NYC can make it.

It's based off a concept Iván and I have been working on for a while now after many conversations about rasta, the west, the Amazon, space, and DMT. It'll be a set of 4 songs arranged by trombone player Iván Malespín and set design and projections by me. More info coming soon, or maybe not. However, you should definitely come by.

me metí en un thrift store en Greenpoint el otro día y conseguí un montón de fotos viejas de gente y postales. me he vuelto loca escaniando, así que por ahí vienen más. quizás hago postales pa vender? no sé.

baby girls in baby town

Esto es un zine que hice hace unos meses de fotos de mis amigas cuando pequeñas. Una mitad (baby girs) es a color y la otra mitad (in baby town) es a la inversa en blanco y negro coloreada con highlighter. Mide 4.25" x 2.75". Imprimí y colorié 15 copias, pero realmente solo existe una que compaginé.

Aquí incluyo una pintura que por fin acabé y unas botellas que voy a exponer en un show de latinos auspiciado por Diageo. Luego pongo más detalles sobre el show. Ambos cánvases miden 38"x24" y son hechos con acrílico y sharpie paint.
